Join the 25th Annual Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Human Rights Conference for this next iteration of our Poetry Night. Featuring local poets as well as an open mic portion where community members are encouraged to bring some of their own words or readings to share.
In the past we have connected poetry night with another writer and their body of work. This year, we are broadening the theme to align with our Conference title, “From Divine Dissatisfaction to Joyful Liberation: How do we co-create a beloved Whatcom County?”
There will be limited spots to participate in the open mic. If you are interested in sharing your poetry or readings from another author, feel free to DM us ahead of time to sign up.
We look forward to sharing space in person for the first time in a few years. Limited in-person seating (Max: 50) will be available at the venue, 1302 Commercial St, Bellingham. *Masks will be required*. If you are feeling unwell or showing any symptoms, please stay home. We are responsible for our own and our community’s well-being. The event will also be streamed live on FB and IG.
