Shifting the Paradigm of Power: A Conversation on Mutuality, Hope, and Liberation
We continue the tradition of featuring conversation and intentional discussion as our keynote for the 24th Annual Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Human Rights Conference. Local organizers will dive into topics around creative extremism, the violence of being in spaces that are not designed for you, and how to shift systems that maintain power over others towards building people power through mutuality and collective liberation, all while connecting the themes in Dr. King’s Letter from Birmingham Jail to today’s pursuit for justice. Our keynote will feature Jason McGill, Ashe Tippens, Shu-Ling Zhao, Deauna Davis, Terrance Morris, Eve Smason-Marcus, and Kunbi Ajiboye.
