I believe that prior to establishing community covenants….individuals first, must acknowledge and then firmly root their own values; especially those related to conscious efforts at the nexus of diversity and inclusion. Throughout this workshop participants will be introduced to individual and our collective behaviors that juxtapose community collaboration; moreover, participants will be introduced to strategies aimed at interrupting oppressive and dismissive behaviors at home, in school, and the workplace (community).
I intend to engage the workshop participants in lively authentic dialogue laden in candor and vulnerability through bias reduction activities and the exploration of strategies to interrupt oppressive behaviors participants will become more empowered.
Primary Audience: adults – general, educators; youth – ages 13+
